Ingredients
- 1 cup rice (washed and soaked)
- ½ cup moong dal (yellow lentils)
- 2–3 tbsp pure desi ghee
- Mixed spices – turmeric, cumin seeds, salt, and black pepper
- Optional vegetables – peas, carrots, or potatoes for extra nutrition
Directions:
- Step 1: Wash and soak the rice and moong dal for 15–20 minutes.
- Step 2: Heat desi ghee in a pan or pressure cooker and add cumin seeds until aromatic.
- Step 3: Add rice, dal, spices, and optional vegetables, then mix well.
- Step 4: Pour water and cook until the rice and lentils become soft and creamy.
